Garos Crouzet lays the first stone

Garos Crouzet building project

Couëron, September 30th 2020

ust two years since acquiring Garos, Crouzet is now investing in a new building and cultivating a fresh impetus to its integration strategy for part of its activities.

One stone atop another

After acquiring Garos in February 2019 and merging Garos Capteurs and Garos Electronique into Garos Crouzet SAS last April, Crouzet is now investing to combine the teams at Vigneux-de-Bretagne and Bouguenais into a single site.

A notable group came to Couëron, halfway between the two old sites, to take part as the first stone in this step was laid on 30 September. The attendees included Couëron Mayor Carole Grelaud, Foncière Aalto Associate Director Alexandre André, Legendre Construction CCO Nicolas Millet, Garos CEO Laurent Jully and a delegation of employees.

A building larger than 2,000 m2

This brand new, larger and more modern turnkey building of over 2,000 m2 is ideally situated among a wide range of companies (industrial, craft and tertiary businesses) on the 73 ha Hauts de Couëron 3 Business Complex.

This new site will be ready to welcome Garos teams later in the first quarter of 2021.

“This new building project responds to these trying health and economic times with concrete and optimism. The objective is twofold: bringing our teams closer by strengthening collaboration and improving our industrial capacity to better meet the needs and demands of our customers. This action constitutes the cornerstone of a new organization and a fresh impetus for the company,” explains Garos Crouzet CEO Laurent Jully.

Crouzet rolls out its acquisition plan

The February 2019 acquisition of Garos kicked off the operative phase of Crouzet’s external growth strategy.
Crouzet has since stayed the course, notably with its November 2019 acquisition of Microprecision Electronics, a Swiss manufacturer of precision electronic components.
More recently, Crouzet acquired stake in machining specialist Chambon SA, thus shoring up its industrial influence in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
