Crouzet EVO and probes

W

hether for a room, a oven or a liquid, controlling temperature and implementing corrective actions can be necessary both for materials and users.

Definition

The control of temperature can be operated with an electronic device which is used to monitor and ensure a constant temperature according to a setpoint.

What are the main actions?

  • Measuring

Of course, to maintain the temperature of a room, an enclosure, a liquid, you need first to measure it. Then the main function of the controller is to guarantee a constant temperature and ensures optimum use of the systems in which it is found: ovens, baths, cold rooms, machines.

  • Controlling, displaying, alerting

Directly interfacing with probes, the controller controls and displays the temperature of the enclosure. If necessary, it can also set an alert in the event of an anomaly (low and/or high temperature). In the case of a communicating logic controller, it can alert the user even if he is not present on site and enables him to react shortly.

  • Monitoring

The controller does not limit itself to alerting. It senses and controls the temperature, acting on the system heating or cooling. If the controlled temperature does not conform to the setpoint, the controller implements a heating or cooling action. In the case of a logic controller, once the alert is sent, the operator can monitor the device remotely and bring corrective actions inducing a rise or decrease of the temperature.
